Who can enroll in your security guard training courses?

Anyone who meets the Washington State requirements can enroll. For unarmed training, you must be at least 18 years old with a valid government-issued ID. For armed training, you must be at least 21, pass a background check, and already hold (or be eligible for) a State security guard license.

Do I need prior experience to take these courses?

No prior experience is required for the unarmed course—it’s designed for beginners. For the armed course, having unarmed certification or related experience helps, but it isn’t always required as long as you meet state eligibility.

How long does the training take?

The unarmed security guard course is online and typically completed in one to two days. The armed guard training may take longer since it includes both online classroom work and range practice. Exact schedules depend on class availability.

Do you help with job placement after training?

Yes. Many of our graduates go on to work directly with Bluetac, our own professional security company. Completing your training with us not only gives you certification but also connects you to real employment opportunities. While placement depends on availability and qualifications, we prioritize our students when hiring for both unarmed and armed guard positions.
